Auto-Send Quotes & Job Costs
When Tradewin auto-sends vs holds a quote for review, and why saving realistic job costs first matters — especially for per-unit jobs like power points.
Auto-send lets inbound SMS and website requests go straight to the customer — but only when you've opted in and your saved costs for that job type are trustworthy. Tradewin scales your per-unit materials and labour to whatever quantity the customer requests (e.g. 4 power points, not just 1).
Before you turn on auto-send
- •Open the calculator, pick the job type, and enter realistic materials + labour (or apply a recipe).
- •Save costs — they become the defaults for that job type.
- •The auto-send toggle only enables once saved costs exist. Without them, quotes would be guesswork.
- •For per-unit jobs (each, m², lm, hr), set costs that scale — e.g. materials and labour per power point.
When Tradewin still holds a quote (no auto-send)
- •The calculated price is at or below your break-even cost — you'd make no profit or a loss.
- •The job is flagged as complex difficulty or custom finish — large price swings worth a quick eyeball.
What does NOT block auto-send
- •A different quantity than you've quoted before (10 power points when you usually do 2 — your per-unit costs scale up).
- •No market / peer data — pricing from your own costs is normal and expected.
- •Cost-led pricing when you've opted in and saved realistic defaults.
Your responsibility
When auto-send is on, quotes go out without manual review. You remain responsible for every auto-sent price. See Terms of Service for details.
